Late Autumn in Tokyo

Late autumn in Tokyo has its own quiet kind of beauty — soft light, gentle air, and a sense that the season is holding on just a little longer. We were lucky that this year, autumn came late, and by the end of December, Shinjuku Gyoen was still dressed in shades of gold and red.

As we walked through the park, the maple trees glowed under the soft golden-hour sun. Their colors — warm orange, deep red, and fading yellow — painted the perfect backdrop for a family session that felt both intimate and timeless.

The kids ran through the carpet of fallen leaves, laughter echoing through the still garden. The parents followed with warm smiles, soaking in every moment of this fleeting beauty. There was a peaceful silence between each photo — the kind that only late autumn can bring, when the world slows down just before winter arrives.

As the sun dipped lower, the park turned golden, wrapping the family in light. It was one of those rare Tokyo afternoons where everything felt perfectly aligned — the color, the warmth, the love — all captured in the last breath of autumn.
